Intro: TQ Evelyn. Hi Good Morning everyone. First of all, my utmost gratitude
to AA Team for coming up with Daily Closing Challenge (DCC) since the earlier
MCO. It has been a very good session for all customers and also builders, or
‘builders to be’, to learn about the business, spirit in self-improvement and
products knowledge.
Background: My name is Ain Kalam and at the moment I am a wife in
leisure and also a Zumba Instructor for the past 8 years. For those who have
listened to my sharing before this, I did not position myself as a Housewife
coz I feel that I don’t deserve that noble title.
What NuSkin products I am on: I started with TR90 products in 2019 because I gained almost 10kg after I
got into an accident in Jan 2019 and also with the medications. I had pneumonia
and I didn’t know it, and I went for diving trip in Maldives. At 28 metres
depth, I stopped breathing and the Instructor had to do a CPR on me and was on
emergency speedboat to the hospital. After that incident my lungs became very
fragile, I could not do any exercise because I will get short of breath easily.
I got very frustrated until I took DuoPack as I learned that these 2 amazing
products are good for internal health for my lungs recovery which I am still on
until now.
And after that because of the believe in NuSkin products, I am
using Nutriol Haircare set, other Pharmanex supplements just so that I
experience them and all the Galvanic Series, LumiSpa & AgeLOC boost for
external beauty. It is true, the more products you are on, the easier for you
to share the benefits with others.
Why NuSkin: I was in the corporate line for 24 years before I chose to
take up VSS to be able to do Nu Skin full time. I have been wanting to leave
the company but did not find any other company that can pay more than what I
have received. So, I decided then, might as well I retire there. But day after
day, I felt unproductive and something is missing in my life. Something that is
challenging.
I want to wake up and enjoy my life day to day. And I want to
be healthier and young looking each day. It can be challenging but happily
challenging. While I was taking DuoPack I got to know that my younger sister,
Adud (Zida Kalam) managed to earn the same amount of my salary in 2 months
sharing about NuSkin products with her friends and also our relatives when I
had to work for 24 years to earn that. And after the trainings I attended, I
recall the question, “What is your self-worth?”
I am always
a networker and has been with other MLM companies before, but before embark in
Nu Skin, I studied the background of the co, the strength and the scientists
work behind its success and it convinced me.
Why must you succeed here: What do I have to lose? 😂 I gain, most importantly –
good health, Insha’Allah. Originally Nu Skin was my retirement plan, my plan B
and now that I am in leisure it has become my plan A. The questions that were
given to all of us during trainings at Success Together, and one of it was, ‘when
i retire, do i want to settle with less than what i have received while i was
working? Or, i want to retire comfortably or with style?’ my answer is the
latter one. Because I have experienced having to live downgrading my way of
living 16 years ago, when I was a single parent and having to bring up my 2
young children at the age of 5 and 8. It was really tough for me.
In March 2020 I got married to a wonderful man who has been
encouraging and supporting me in doing my new journey in Nu Skin. So, I told my
husband last night I must succeed here because I want to be able to give
whatever I can give to myself. My husband is now in Tawau Sabah as a
frontliner, having a long-distance relationship is tough. I want to be with my
husband more, having more quality time with him and to be able to give more
to my 2 young adult children now. While many of us here wants to achieve
success faster than their parents aging, I will add other than that, I want to
achieve success faster because I am aging.
I went thru a lot of breakthrough – getting out of my comfort
zone is tough. But I force myself, gently. I was scared, yes. But I find ways
to still do it to get the momentum and get going. Setting 5 appointments a day
could be easy for some but for me it was scary and when I start to think, how
do I slot in 5 appointments because so far, each time I meet up with people, I
will end up spending 3 hours with each of them. At the end of the day, at times
or most of the time I ended up meeting no one because lack of confidence in
myself.
Then I find a way to 3 appointments a day – for someone who
do not really meet people for meetings that I have to set myself, I still find
it tough and it was a struggle and when I did not achieve it, I will get into
my cave and emotional. Until recently I learned that when people who works they
make sure at least 1 person per day. And that caught my attention, I said “Oh,
1 person a day – I can do that” So that that is what I have been doing
to make myself better than whom I was before. Do not compare with other
people’s speed but myself. Of course, use other people’s success to inspire and
motivate myself more. And I said to myself, I want to put my name up in DCC
daily.
So I helped my apartment’s building manager yesterday to
realize his state of health and share our programme with him.
Next
goal: My short term why
this month is to be with my husband. We have been apart since 17 January 2021
and as a frontliner, his leave has been freeze due to MCO. So I have a target
to achieve if I want to be with him again 😜 my goal remains, slowly but surely.
My next
goals are to be able to go Moscow with my husband and my beloved Tsunami, STWW
team!
I wish to thank my sister Adude (Zida Kalam) who brought me
in NuSkin in 2019. I must say that I have many NuSkin lifeline in this team,
thank you so much to all my uplines and team members who always cheer for
others and believe that all of us can achieve success.
