Rumah Jagaan & Rawatan Orang Tua Al-Ikhlas, Puchong

alhamdulillah we were given the opportunity to do this, finally to help the unfortunate as much as we can. being the department head of customer service and marketing at my workplace has given me the chance to seek of ways to help others for our company's csr project. something that i wanted to do with whatever that i have in terms of money and energy. so, when i do not have that much money to give away, i try to work with organizations who can help.

for the past few years i have always discussed with our marketing executive that we should be helping the old folks home because for orphans there have been many companies helping. somehow it didn't materialized. this year was the closest that i could get to the old folks home. i have requested for our marketing executive to do a research and look for an old folks home that we can help. she went with our customer service executive and technical personnel to check on the wiring of the home, the condition of the residents and we made a report. to cut story short when everything was done - we do have a budget for this (we, means the company that i am working for) however, somehow the project was dismissed due to some cost savings exercise. i was very frustrated.

so, for our 2nd event in 2014, my partner and i had a discussion and decided that the charity beneficiary that we should do this time is for Rumah Al Ikhlas, Puchong. i just have to do it... and because this event is organized by our own company, we CAN do this! and alhamdulillah with the profit that we made, we managed to donate 50% from the sum to be given to Rumah Al Ikhlas, Puchong.
handing over the donation to Din - Pn Muji's son.
kaiser in front of the home.

i also want my kids to learn and see how sometimes other people do not live like how they want to. kaiser, lisa and i went there in the afternoon and when we reached there, there was an old man seated outside of the home. the home was an old mosque converted to be a home for the old folks. there were 2 areas divided to separate between men and women. there were many stuff seen donated by the public. the home was clean except that the workers should be nicer to the residents. in my opinion, the public should visit the place first before coming with lots of food that in the end will be wasted or expired. we didn't take photos of the residents and the home because i just don't feel comfortable doing it and i would want to respect their privacy. however, we had pictures taken by our marketing executive that i can share towards the end of this posting.

the update that i wish to write here is that, the person who runs the home now, Pn Muji is facing breast cancer stage 4. now her son, Din is assisting. i would like to take this opportunity to call out to the public to help them in terms of cash for them to run the place on daily basis - to help with the bills, maintenance of the place and even perhaps to pay their staff so that they are happier working there hence, they will treat the residents better.

my concern now is that the place that their staying now might be taken over. anyone out there with a piece of unused land - and perhaps can build a home for these residents? lisa was asking me to set a fund/foundation - get it licensed to raise enough money to build a new home for them. hemmm very ambitious of her...

these photos were taken in sept 2013 during my staffs visit. there are not much different from our visit today.
lots of extension being done - suggest to do new wiring for the whole home.
needs to be upgraded as it trips often.

only 2 washing machines to cover for the whole residents that works non-stop.

more stocks seen when we came today. they need daily food more instead of dried food. i.e vegetables, fish, chicken, beef on daily basis.

the residents' prayer area.
male residents' section.

how can we help?
1) al rajhi bank officer to visit Pn Muji and make it easier for her and/or her son to retrieve the donation in the account as Pn Muji is currently weak at home. because for now according to Din, there are many cheques that can be banked in but only Pn Muji can take out the money and she has been very ill. so yesterday, instead of giving a cheque, AKO Fitness gave cash to make it easier for Din to utilize the donation for daily usage.

2) to do stock check on the dried items given, and help to raise money from there as all these dried stocks are too much and they have expiry dates. Pn Muji and/or Din is afraid to do this as they do not want to be seen as taking advantage of the donation. think it this way, rather than the dried items expires and being wasted, might as well sell off and use the cash for the maintenance of the home, get good daily healthy food for the residents.

3) it it is true that the land will be taken away, maybe we can create a fund - foundation to help them have a new home in a new area rather than being quite secluded like their current place. we need you rich people out there!!!

my training plans in ramadhan

okay... let's see if this works... hahaha (belum apa2 gelak dulu). yes yes.. people have been saying that i put on weight... blardy people... akakakaka :D but, it's ok.. yes i gained weight.. i became bloated due to water retention so the doctor said. i have not been drinking enough water, that i know... so.. everything expanded. so, here goes... my plan during ramadhan.

every year we will break our fast at my parents' house and continue with terawikh. lately i have been too busy and packed with zumba classes. i just can't wait for ramadhan as i needed a break... to slow down a lil bit. joelis' tuition classes will be delayed than their normal time.. ermm they have tuition 3 times a week, so that 3 times a week, while waiting for them to finish their class i will go to the gym for my weights training - my target is to get back my actual ideal weight with a toned body before i start back on my daily zumba classes! yeahhh that seems to be a good plan.

3 times a week of weights training + 1 time zumba... looks like a good plan.. huh?

'busuk' people

i have no frieking idea what to put as the title today. the deeper i am in this industry, the more that i learn about the 'busukness' of some people. it is 'too busuk' that even thinking about it or about those people just make me wanna puke!! and... because of the level of professionalism that i would like to maintain, i have to endure all these and still face them on day to day basis. i see them communicating with me like they are innocent... and how they acted so normal as if i don't know their 'busukness'!!

funny this people would post on certain things on value of friendship... or things about karma... or about how they become a victim of certain situation... when i think the only reason that they get all that is because they are 'busuk'!!

they take advantage of other people's kindness... and there are also 'omong kosong' people.. remember, people are being trusted when they hang on to their promise/words. will i have a future business with this person? i don't think so... *smirk*

and owh.. i really wanna write about this person... and to make this posting more fun, i will give an alphabet as nickname... hahahaha... because if i were to write what is the gender, it will be too easy... let us call the person, 'S'... because i just feel the person is like a snaaakkkeeee... not that i know S very well... but we have talked and chat and yes we are in the same fitness industry. the funny thing is, one fine day someone i know attended S's class... and in the conversation my name came up.. and S was asked if S knows me... S said S doesn't know me... and the very same day, S liked something on my wall that i posted... hahahaha.. :D if you don't know me, how can you be in my friends' list eekkk?? and liked my posting??? oh puhleezzz... a very good acting you put out there... and this S when we were wassaping... S will sound... soooooo nice... 'superficially' nice i would say..

God please give me strength to face this 'busuk' people ... :D :P and please let me meet up with more nice people.. amiinnn...

isi hati seorang isteri

maybe sekarang ni tengah mood emo. this is not about being sensitive ke jealous ke apa. tapi sebenar2nya benda2 ni kena tahu sendiri lah kan.. kita pun dah di ajar dengan mak ayah masing2 apa batasan dalam pergaulan. aku tak mintak di jodohkan dengan omputih.. tapi alhamdulillah aku dapat jodoh dengan omputih yang sedikit sebanyak membantu dalam penyatuan sebuah keluarga. ... pergh.. ayat.. skema habis..

jadi aku rasa malam ni aku sangat terasa, tak tau kenapa... tapi i just had to write about it... tolong lah bantu aku untuk membantu suami aku lebih mendalami Islam dengan cara.. at least perkara2 mudah tu dulu ya...bermula dari anda... terima kasih...

superb weekend - alhamdulillah

i think i am not the only one who is feeling this... 24 hours is just not enough anymore. so, what i do now is spend most time doing what i love - being with the people who brings joy to me and be with positive people.

this weekend we had another outdoor zumba session with our fellow members. and the great thing was, we get to to extra.. we were 'busy' zumba-ing at our small area... and my demmm speaker went crazy ... argghhh... i think it was the battery! cehh... and when an officer from dbkl called me up to do a session at the main stage... so first, i asked our members if they wanna continue... and they said yes... so... apa lagi... we had almost 2 hours of zumba at the lake garden... it was really awesome!!

on sunday, which is today.. i was invited again at the same place.. so i started to blast invitation to everybody i know.. and we had a fantabulous time!! TQ to all supporters who woke up early in the morning to be with us... lots of closed road did not stop us!

hehehe i love my back view :p

group photo at the end of the session 1st June, 2014

and because weekends are normally for family - i want to be able to be with my parents for breakfast... so i asked my mom if she and dad are okay to go to lake garden on sunday morning. she agreed and as usual, my dad will just follow.. hehehe :D luckily - alhamdulillah my dad got a good parking spot in front... lisa and i just keep on praying that they'll get a good spot due to my mom's leg's condition.TQ ayah & mama for the support!! love you lotss....

but i wasn't that lucky... hehehe and because i have to be on time.. kaiser had to take over his car and find a parking while i walked in the lake garden to be at the main stage for the session :p kena bebel, Tuhan je yang tahu... heheheh cair la gak lilin dalam telinga ni... so, before anything more, i apologies again for having him to find a parking :p
